Beautiful Bathrooms with Color

Today, I’m sharing a post written by Susi, a writer for Arcadian Home Decor, showing an array of beautiful bathrooms with the unifying theme being color. Hope you’re inspired!

Color in the bathroom is a lovely idea. There is a trend toward neutrals and whites in our bathrooms but this can lead to a very neutral room that lacks energy. We’re happy to share several beautiful bathrooms that embrace color on the walls, floors and in home accessories. Be bold or subtle, but be beautiful in living color.

For color in the bathroom, soft pastels that work well with shabby chic whites are a lovely idea. Paint walls and shelves the same color for a unified look. Love the button trim on the shelf…so charming.

Soft blues are beautiful in a bathroom. Pale blues are so calming, especially when they have grey undertones with a touch of colorful table decoration.

Warm colors, like orange, yellow and reds, make for a warm, inviting bathroom. Mixed with loads of white or cream, these colors feel cheerful and fresh.

Bold colors, like turquoise, can feel modern or shabby chic depending on the wall art and accessories that accompany it. Deep rose would also look beautiful in this bathroom.

Love the beautiful aqua color on this vintage metal cabinet. Add a few spots of color will do the trick if you can’t commit to color on the walls.

Beautiful Bathrooms

Deep wall colors in a bathroom add drama. To balance the dark color, use white (and lots of it) to brighten the room.

Since most bathrooms are smaller spaces, continue the wall color onto the accessories and textiles. Mix in contrasting colors for more energy, like this bathroom with the mustard yellow walls and plum accents.

Multiple colors in similar hues creates a beautiful layered look in the bathroom. Pick a range of the same color or chose adjacent colors on the color wheel, like this pink, salmon and orange bathroom with its unexpected white wall decor.

Did you also notice that each of these bathrooms feature white woodwork? Living in a home with stained woodwork, I love the fresh way the color pops against the white trim! Beautiful!

These are great inspirations, and just having my bath redone I’m looking for colors – can we know what they are? I love the light blue and the salmon. Although, I would never think to paint dark blue on a wall, it is rather stunning in the picture. Thank you for sharing.
