Today I’m sharing highlights from Courtney and Drew’s vintage style reception. The last of the photos covering their wedding.
A sweet, pink metal bucket holds birdseed ready to be tossed at the end of the night.
All the guests enjoyed a casual home style dinner complete with Bride and Groom sweet tea mason jars.
To designate the table for the new Mr. & Mrs.
The centerpieces on each table held a variety of items including burlap runners, vintage silver trays, turquoise canning jars filled with cut flowers, candles and distressed books. You can read more about the centerpieces in the post Wedding Table Decor – Vintage Style and details about the canning jars in How to Paint Your Own Turquoise Canning Jars.
One of my favorite spots at the reception was a table displaying the wedding photos of the Bride and Groom’s parents and grandparents. Each wedding day photo was clipped to a simple clipboard and tied with vintage lace. (Yours truly is the one sporting the hat on middle right.)
Instead of the traditional wedding cake, Courtney chose cupcakes, sugar cookies and simple (yet absolutely delicious) layer cakes. All the deserts were iced in shades of white and ivory and displayed on vintage family cakestands and rustic wood crates.
While dinner was held alfresco along the front porch and lawn, the garage was designated for partying!
Our wonderful family friends, who graciously hosted Courtney and Drew’s wedding on their property, have a garage furnished with an awesome collection of vintage car memorabilia. The perfect backdrop for dancing and having fun.
It was such a magical night.

A special thank you to photographer Clayton Austin for all the wonderful wedding photos.
Thank you for indulging me and allowing me to share Courtney and Drew’s special day with all of you! I hope when, and if, the time comes you may find an idea or two to incorporate in your own or someone else’s special occasion.
