For the past few years we’ve displayed a collection of trees, aka We Three Trees, as our main Christmas Tree. On their own they are quite pitiful but gathered together and decorated as one they work.
I’m not one to completely change my Christmas decor (though I have changed out the stockings several times) but this year I went to a more neutral look with a silver, white, cream and taupe color scheme.
I found this glittery Santa and sweet little sledding girl last year after Christmas.
The little girl hung in my work room the entire year and quickly became the inspiration for the new color scheme. As soon as I took her off the bulletin board to carry to the tree I promptly dropped her and broke her in half! A little super glue and thankfully she’s good as new.
As I packed up last year’s decorations I sorted out the ones I hoped to use in the new color scheme. I found I actually had quite a few ornaments that worked perfectly and a few more that I was able to paint or alter to match.
A bit of dollar store tinsel garland to fill in the gaps and I was done. I’m so pleased with how the new color scheme came together.
