Here’s a window treatment that’s fairly simple in detail but makes a big impact due to the fabric.
In the family room we used simple floor length panels with pinch pleats, hung from short fluted rods (to accommodate the corner windows) in a complimentary gold tone.

The bold black upholstery weight fabric, named Jingo, with the floral pattern in shades of green and red, is the real star of this treatment.

In the adjoining, formal living we used the same window treatment but added a beaded trim along the lead edge to dress things up just a bit.

Window treatments styles range from ones who are all about the details to those who are subtle, elegant and understated. Some are bold and fearless with “Look at Me” personalities while others are happy to beautifully blend into the background. This window treatment may have simple details but it definitely falls into the bold and fearless category without overwhelming the space.
Do your window treatments have a personality? Would you like them to?

You have inspired me to add my own imagination to my draperies. I did buy store bought drapes and then added a ruffle along the inside edge and the bottom. Now they are original and unique.
Love the fabric! Would think drapery medallions would be another great design idea in this type of smaller window area
Hi Sonya, beautiful job, as always! Pinch pleats are my favorite drapery treatment. I love the beaded trim that you used!
I love these window treatments, the fabric and detailing is beautiful.

pretty pretty…just adding some details to make them set apart…great job
I love this so much! I have some panels in my dining room that I’d like to add trim too.
I’m glad to see you treated the two windows as one. It makes the most sense to me
