Does this look familiar? I can’t believe I’m showing you this. Dust bunnies and all. Well, technically, this is waaay past your average dust bunny. But surely I’m not the only one with a mess like this in her house!
As you can see, this is a prime example of the cables that tend to multiple and reproduce in the dark corners beneath a computer desk. When a representative from CableOrganizer.com contacted me asking if I’d like to review one of their products I jumped at the chance to attack this mess once and for all. While the product I received has a lot of potential, I’m afraid I need more ammunition for this task.
I received a stainable ChordSaver. This little guy can hold up to 4 @ 1/4″ cords or cables, help you get them organized and safely hidden especially if they happen stretch across a traffic pattern in your home.
You simply lay the cables on the tray and slide or snap on the rounded cover. Easy!
The ChordSaver comes in several colors. This one happens to be the stainable version which appealed to me because I like the customize-able capabilities.
The result after one coat of stain was lighter than I had hoped. It was an easy process so I will give it another coat or two to match my darker floors.
Our plans for the office eventually include placing a large table/computer desk/project desk/whatever-we-might-need-it-for-desk in the center of the room which can moonlight as a dining table during holidays. The office doesn’t have a floor outlet so I will definitely be using my ChordSaver to help corral those cords.
Anyone have any helpful hints for reducing the dust around electronics? I could use a few.
