It definitely worked beautifully to create one set of window treatments, one table runner and two pillows for Laura’s breakfast room and adjoining living room.
Laura and I live a couple of hours away from each other. Our first meeting was for a day of shopping where Laura picked out the aqua and brown color scheme for her master bedroom as well as this stunning multi-colored floral for her breakfast room. The rest of our collaboration took place via emails, phone calls and possibly a few text messages as well.
We choose to make simple, floor length, pinch pleated panels out of the black floral for her breakfast room. (Sorry, no photos of window treatments)
The runner was made to fit Laura’s breakfast room table. I mixed the black floral, a lime green (which actually has a chevron pattern woven in) with a colorful tassel fringe and a turquoise silk. The runner is lined with a similar lime green polyester.
The pillow, one of a pair, is backed and self corded in the lime chevron. Laura is using the pillows on a leather sofa in her adjacent living room.
The floral, lime chevron and tassel fringe were all purchased at Interior Fabrics. The turquoise silk was a remnant.
Who’s side are you on in the Color vs Neutral debate?
I’m so fickle neither team can count on me. I switch sides almost daily.
