Guest Bathroom with a Huge Personality

Vessel Sink

Don’t you just love little spaces with big personalities? That’s exactly what Tara’s guest bathroom has. A Huge Personality!

This little bathroom serves as the downstairs guest bathroom as well as the pool bath during the summer months. Located just off the back patio, this bathroom is easily accessed by any backyard/pool party guests.

This space is approximately 6′ wide by 10′ long but loaded with creative details.

Just to the left you’ll notice an entire wall of cabinets and drawers built directly into the wall. Tara had her trim carpenter take advantage of the negative space behind this wall to build her a ton of additional storage.

Pool BathPerfect for storing away pool towels and supplies.

The decorative paint treatment just below the crown molding is hand painted.

Custom Paint Treatment Tara showed her faux painter this pattern and the painter duplicated it in shades of dark brown and gold.

Wrought Iron Door Detail

The distressed Alder wood door boasts a spectacular center mounted iron handle surrounded by even more iron and carved wood details.

The counter top, wall mounted faucets and vessel sink are a thing of beauty.

Sea Art for the Pool Bath (3) This artwork is one of my favorite things. I love how adorable these turned out!

Tara purchased three seaside images from an Etsy shop specializing in printed images on vintage paper.

She had Hobby Lobby mat and frame the prints using textured burlap mats. I love the burlap mats. Definitely want to use the idea on a future project.

I also love the fact that there’s room for a tiny little chair tucked into the corner by the vanity. Just adds that a bit of warmth to have this small upholstered piece in the space.

Did you see any ideas for your own home from this lovely little bathroom with the big personality? I hope so!
