Mini Christmas Tour and a Growing Nativity Collection

Christmas Tree (2)Today you’re invited on a mini Christmas Tour of a home you may recognize.

Three years ago, during my first Christmas as a blogger, I visited Tim and Elizabeth’s home just as it was all decked out for an upcoming Christmas Home Tour.

Merry and Bright and Gorgeous!

As luck would have it, I recently delivered some updated valances (which you’ll see a peek of here but more details coming soon) right in time for Christmas. Again!

And I just happened to have my camera!

Christmas Mantle

Elizabeth was so gracious to let me snoop around her home taking tons of pictures!

If you take a look a the Family Room before you may notice a colorful change above her mantle.

Christmas Dining

And as I look at these pictures I’m remembering so much more I didn’t get photos of!

I was too busy just soaking it all in! I may have to go back. :)

Christmas Dining RoomIn this previous post you can see how Elizabeth lightened the mood of her dining room by replacing her traditional window treatments with a more casual burlap pair.

Nativity Collection

Tim’s has a Nativity collection that spans the Globe.  I think Elizabeth said they’re at 118 and counting!

Tim’s collection includes traditional Nativities from many different countries…

Nativity

as well as less traditional Nativities with many different characters!

Bear Nativity

Duck Nativity

This recent, very less traditional addition to the collection, was hard to resist.

Collection of Santas While Elizabeth’s Santa collection isn’t quite as impressive, it’s perfectly displayed here along the kitchen counter.

Santa Collection Christmas Tree

Notice how Elizabeth used the large colorful  C-9 bulbs on her tree. Love that!

If you look close between these photos and the ones of their Christmas Open House, Kitchen and Family Room from 3 years ago you’ll see a few changes here and there. New floors, painted pieces and an update to her old window treatments.

I promise to share all the details on the updated valances soon. Something to look forward to in January. :)

I totally admire anyone who can “rock” a black Christmas tree! The duck nativity is truly awful! :P

  2. Christine says:

I love that she used C9 bulbs too on her tree….although I kind of disagree with Kim above, on both counts. I don’t think that’s a black tree, lol. and I love their nativity collection, ducks included. :-)

Their home is wonderful, they are lovers of color that has given their home such a vibrant, yet homey feel.

    XO,
    Christine

Thank you, Christine! I like the ducks, too! :) Elizabeth used the black tree as part of her decor 3 years ago. You can see more of that Christmas by clicking on the link for “Family Room” listed above.

Oh my goodness! This was just a “tease”. Having to wait to see more of this gorgeous home….I can’t wait! Absolutely beautiful! Merry Christmas, Sonya!

Beautiful tour, Sonya! I love her fireplace screen!

Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
