Monogrammed Burlap Wreath

Burlap Wreath

Show of hands. How many still have their winter wreaths on the front door?

Me. I do. Raising my hand.

Actually, I have my Christmas Wreath aka Winter Wreath with a red Valentine Heart tucked into the middle of it still on my front door.

With February coming to a close and Spring just around the corner it’s time to be thinking about a Changing of the Wreaths.

Burlap Wreath (2)

In January I flew to NC to visit my parents for a week.

All by myself!

This may not sound like a big deal but I’m the oldest of 5, with 4 children of my own and this is the first time I’ve EVER spent a week with my parents by myself! Except for the first 16 months of my life until my sister, Stacy, came along but since I can’t remember it, it doesn’t get to count in this story. I had a wonderful time.

My Dad had quite the December but is now doing GREAT! If you missed his story feel free to jump over and read about our Christmas Miracle.

He’s completely recovered and back to his old self. Truly a Miracle!

While in NC, Mom showed me the new burlap wreath she got for her birthday from my SIL Angie. She’s saving it for Spring but I had to give it a test drive just so I could take pictures. It’s too cute not to share!

Angie’s friend, Heidi, is the creative genius behind this wreath. If you look close you can see a glimpse of the standard Christmas wreath she used as the base.

Check out Heidi’s Facebook page, M & H Designs to see more of her adorable designs.

Be sure to contact Heidi (contact info available through her Facebook page) if you’d like to have a new Spring wreath made specifically just for you!

In case you’re wondering, the little crystal adorned, harlequin sign to the left of the door says “Welcome”. Painted by your’s truly years ago. :)

I love the burlap wreath. It looks so soft and full. Really a pretty one. It’s funny that you asked about having your Christmas wreath up because my husband just asked me the same thing over the weekend. Mine is a large live pine wreath with a red burlap bow. It still looks fresh as we have endured a very cold snowy winter but I think it’s time for it to come down. Thanks for the inspiration and glad to hear you dad is doing well too.

Very pretty! I need a new wreath…just haven’t decided what I want yet. Glad you had such a wonderful visit and such fantastic news about your Dad.

Sonya this wreath is gorgeous and I love the monogram look. I have never flown by myself and I am 48. Way too chicken, not a great flyer. Dad is still doing great and that is fantastic!!

  5. The wreath is beautiful. After I finally took down our Christmas wreath, I just left the scrolly thing bare, but am starting to kind of sort of maybe think about putting something out there. :) Glad to hear your dad is doing great- God is good, all the time! :D

  6. Is there no limit to your talents? The wreath is so pretty, and your Mom has a great SIL! I love the crystal harlequin sign too! Proud of you girl for going to NC alone!

Very pretty! I just put a spring basket on the front door a week ago. Might be the very first time I’m not behind the curve.
