Combining 7 Fabrics to Make 4 Pillow Styles

Multi Fabric Bolster Pillow

Pillows, Pillows and more Pillows!

While 7 different fabrics were combined to make 4 different styles there are actually 7 pillows in this collection. 3 large ruffled euro pillows, 2 flanged shams, 1 double ruffle accent pillow and one 36″ long bolster made using 5 fabrics plus one luscious trim.

When Meradith decided she was ready for new bedding we started with the pillows. She wanted rich, bold colors and plenty of details to add a bit of life and color to the master bedroom of her new home.

She fell in love with the “peacock” fabric called Grenoble Blue. The challenge was finding the right balance between the vibrant green & turquoise and the rusty red and brown.

The bolster is 36″ long x 8″ diameter. I used the Grenoble as the center fabric flanked by this amazing fringe, a small brown crinkled ruffle, a turquoise animal print, ending with a larger rusty red ruffle and a brown damask on the end.

The Grenoble Blue fabric was used for 2 king size shams with a self flange.

Brown Damask and Cinnamon Swirl Pillows

I made three pillows from the brown damask chenille surrounded by a rusty red ruffle. These pillows will stand in the back along the headboard of the bed.

The Grenoble Blue shams will sit in front of the brown damask with the cinnamon swirl accent pillow next.

The cinnamon accent pillow features a small brown crinkle flange with ruffled corners and a larger turquoise velvet ruffle behind.
